File extension sub information
There are at least eight file types with the file extension SUB name. However, the most common file association is the Clone CD Sub Channel Data, also known as the Clone CD related file. It has been grouped under the category of Disk Image file types with a Mime type as follows; application/octet-stream. It is the sub channel data of all the tracks that are in the CD. It is stated that for each SUB file, there is supposed to be a CCD or IMG file which will follow it.

It is important to note that without an accompanying IMG or CCD file, this SUB file will not be able to burn the CD contents so one should ensure that these files are always following. They also have to be in one single directory that is in a similar folder and on the same hard disk drive. For instance, a folder represented as C:\Images\ must have IMAGE.CCD, IMAGE.IMG as well as IMAGE.SUB to enable it burn to disc or be mounted on a virtual drive.
